These Stainless Steel 430 Hollow Bars are mainly made up of iron, containing 16–18% chromium, along with small amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. This type of ferritic stainless steel is known for its excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion in mild environments. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts good strength, hardness, and wear resistance, with a tensile strength typically ranging from 450–550 MPa and a yield strength of 210–350 MPa. It also has moderate ductility and superb formability, making it perfect for bending, welding, and machining. Its magnetic properties and stable ferritic microstructure make it a great choice for both structural and decorative applications.

SS 430 hollow bars are primarily used in the manufacturing of automotive parts, kitchen equipment, heat exchangers, and chemical processing equipment due to their excellent corrosion resistance, formability, and heat resistance. They're also used in exhaust systems and structural components.
SS 430 offers good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments but is less resistant than austenitic stainless steels like SS 304 or 316. It is more prone to corrosion in harsh environments, especially those with high chloride content.
SS 430 hollow bars typically range in outer diameters from 20mm to 300mm and wall thicknesses from 2mm to 30mm. Tolerances vary but are generally within ±0.5mm for diameter and ±0.2mm for wall thickness, depending on the manufacturer.
Stainless Steel 430 Hollow Bars find their way into various industrial, architectural, and domestic sectors thanks to their corrosion resistance, durability, and cost-effectiveness. They’re commonly used in the production of automotive parts, kitchen appliances, food processing equipment, and architectural fixtures. Moreover, these hollow bars are essential in constructing heat exchangers, chemical containers, and storage tanks where moderate corrosion resistance is necessary. Their excellent formability and weldability make them ideal for custom fabrication projects, such as furniture frames, handrails, and decorative structures. Starc Metals is committed to ensuring that each product meets the highest standards.
